The Always Forward Project
The Always Forward Project’s mission is to honor, support and continue the good works of those coaches and educators who have taken an active, caring beyond the classroom role in student lives. In carrying out the mission, the Always Forward Project focuses on creating, enabling and enhancing educational opportunities and learning experiences for high school and college age individuals who, as high school students, participate or participated, in extracurricular activities. The Always Forward Project seeks do so in a manner that honors those educators and coaches who have played instrumental roles in young lives through their caring and active involvement in creating opportunities for students to move forward as concerned and productive citizens. The Always Forward Project also seeks to encourage current coaches and educators to continue leading their charges always forward.
To carry out its purposes and objectives, the Always Forward Project:
- Establishes qualifications criteria for honorees;
- Establishes qualifications criteria for charitable beneficiaries (individuals and groups);
- Seeks to connect personally with adults who coach or lead students in extracurricular activities for purposes of identifying prospective honorees and beneficiaries;
- Promotes the Always Forward Project’s mission by way of public and media relations and a strong website and blogging presence;
- Solicits and accepts contributions, gifts, and bequests for the Always Forward Project’s general or specific purposes;
- Organizes and conducts fundraising activities;
- Disburses funds for the benefit of worthy recipients (individuals and groups).
